About Green Grid Australia

Building practical pathways to cleaner, more resilient energy.

Green Grid Australia is focused on commercial and industrial energy systems that combine renewable generation, long-duration storage and workable commercial structures.

Green Grid Australia renewable energy strategy
Why we exist

Energy transition decisions need to make commercial sense.

Many organisations have sustainability targets, rising energy costs and resilience concerns, but the right technical answer depends on how the site actually operates. Green Grid Australia was established to bring those decisions together: energy use, technology, financing and long-term operating requirements.

01

Commercially grounded

Projects are assessed against real tariffs, load profiles, operating hours and investment constraints.

02

Technology focused

We pay particular attention to long-duration vanadium flow storage where conventional short-duration batteries may not be the best fit.

03

Built for Australian sites

Our focus is on commercial, industrial and infrastructure environments with real grid, safety and operational requirements.

Solar and vanadium flow battery concept
Our focus

Long-duration storage is a core part of our strategy.

Green Grid Australia is working to make vanadium redox flow battery technology more accessible for commercial and industrial applications. The technology is particularly relevant where businesses need frequent cycling, long operational life and several hours of stored energy.

How we work

Collaborative delivery, not a one-size-fits-all product.

We work with technology providers, engineering partners, project stakeholders and customers to assemble the right solution around each opportunity. That may involve customer-owned infrastructure, a PPA structure, long-duration storage, microgrid controls or a staged development pathway.

Commercial renewable energy planning
What we will not do

We will not pretend every technology fits every site.

Hydrogen, solar, storage and virtual procurement all have different economics and operating characteristics. Our role is to identify what is worth pursuing, what should wait, and where a different commercial structure may produce a better outcome.

Have a site, project or partnership opportunity?

We welcome discussions with organisations evaluating commercial solar, storage, PPAs, microgrids or longer-term energy transition planning.
